Twelve sailors, representing 11 regions of New Zealand and a wild card, will compete in the Starling Match Racing National Championships from 6 to 9 February 2025.

To qualify for entry you have to be nominated to represent your region.  Region definitions are set out in the download --->.

The trial for the North Harbour region will be held at Wakatere on Sat 7 Dec 2024.

The trial for the Auckland region will be held at Glendowie on Sat 7 Dec 2024.

The trial for the Waikato region will be held at Hamilton on Sun 15 Dec 2024.

The trial for the Bay of Plenty region will be held at Tauranga on Sat 21 Dec 2024.

The trial for the East (Taupo / Hawkes Bay) region will be held at Napier on Sun 8 Dec 2024.

The trial for the Nelson / Marlborough region will be held at Queen Charlotte on Sat 14 Dec 2024. 

The trial for the Canterbury region will be held at Naval Point on Sat 2 Nov 2024.

The trial for the South region will be held at Wanaka on the weekend of 28 and 29 Dec 2024.
