Membership
Glendowie Boating Club invites you to visit on a club racing day (Sundays over the season September to May) to experience our wonderful sailing environment at the mouth of the Tamaki River.
Members of the club enjoy club racing and destination events, coaching, local and national regattas, race day galley, and yacht storage facilities on site.
We welcome new members who will contribute to our great club. Acceptance of your application and your registration payment is not a guarantee of club membership, which is at the sole discretion of our GBC Committee.
If you have completed a Learn to Sail course and would like to continue sailing, then it is time to buy your own Optimist, and become a Club Member. The next step is "Upskillers" where you are introduced to the basics of racing and how to sail around a racing course, then move on to club racing and regattas in the Green fleet, before entering the Open fleet.
